Green Card system
A protection mechanism for victims of cross-border road traffic accidents caused by a foreign vehicle in the victim's country of residence.
The system is made up of 43 Green Card Bureaux representing 47 countries.
Protection of Visitors system
A protection mechanism for victims of cross-border road traffic accidents that occurred abroad.
The system is supported by Compensation Bodies, Guarantee Funds, and Information Centres operating under the EU Motor Insurance Directives across the 30 EEA Member States.
